Interactive basemap

OpenFreeMap / OpenStreetMap

Data: Geographic context and place labels; no weather observations

Coverage: Worldwide

Freshness: Map provider dependent

Map attribution is displayed in the map. OpenFreeMap powers vector maps; OpenStreetMap provides the fallback raster tiles. Respect OSM tile usage limits and use a suitable commercial or self-hosted provider at scale.

U.S. composite radar tiles

Iowa Environmental Mesonet / NWS radar

Data: National Weather Service composite reflectivity

Coverage: United States radar coverage; not a worldwide radar

Freshness: Tile provider dependent. Radar is a recent observation, not a live camera and not a forecast.

Radar tiles are served by the Iowa Environmental Mesonet from National Weather Service radar. Attribution stays on the map. This is not a substitute for weather.gov products.
